Wagner for merchants patrol <br /> <br /> covering the territory west of the middle of Main Street to <br /> Patton Street And from the north side of Walnut to the south <br /> side of Sixth Street, was referred to the Police Commissioner <br /> Police Chief and City Attorney for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Brur~ and carried, <br />the applications of August Morreel and Asa W. Keister for <br />permits to drive taxicabs and the application of Gordon L. <br />Wilson for a transfer of permit to drive taxicab, were <br />granted on recommendation Of the Taxicab Commission. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the petition of property owners to have North Broadway <br />between l§th and 17th Streets rezoned for apartment house <br />district, was referred to the Planning Commission for <br />re commendat ion. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of ~he Santa Ana Neon Company for a permit to <br />hang an electric sign for ~. E. Jemison at 406 W. 4th Street <br />was granted subject to the approval of the Electric Inspector <br />and to be hung under his supervision. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />No written or oral protests having been received, on motion <br />of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the appli- <br />cation of Knox Bros. for a permit to conduct a Used Car Mar- <br />ket at 211 E. First Street, was referred to the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br />of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the applica- <br />tion of Knox Bros. was granted to conduct a Used Car Market <br />at 211 E.
