Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, E~nest H. Layton, Fred C. Tibbetts. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the legislative bulletin of the League of California Munici- <br /> palities requesting support of Bill HR4215 which would amend <br /> the National Banking Act to make it possible for Federal <br /> Reserve System Banks to pay interest on public deposits, was <br /> referred to the Chair to write a letter supporting said bill <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the communication of the Shannon Funeral Home acknowledging <br /> action of the City Council denying their application to con- <br /> duct a Funeral Home at the southwest corner of Seventeenth <br /> and Broadway, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the application of Jane E. Brown Estate to remove present <br /> residence zone restriction from lot 40 x 100 feet, adjacent <br /> to the Gilmore 0il Company's service station at the inter- <br /> section of Santa Aha Boulevard and Chapman Avenue, was <br /> referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />no action was taken on the application of Jane E. Brown <br />Estate until plans are filed by the Gilmore Oil Company <br />covering the construction of proposed office building, as <br />recommended by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of Dr. John McAuley for permission to estab- <br />lish his office in rear of lot at 131@ N. Sycamore Street, <br />was referred to the Plannim~ Commission for recommendation. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of G. E. Tibbetts to operate a Junk yard at <br />1752 W. Fifth Street in connection with a garage, was referre <br />to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br />Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the applica- <br />tion of G. E. Tibbetts was denied to conduct Junk yard. <br /> <br /> <br />
