Sixt~Btreet <br /> to Business Zone to permit the construction of an addition <br /> to the present laundry building at 620 E. Sixth Street, was <br /> referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br /> of T~ustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the property <br /> at 616 and 620 E. Sixth Street or Lots 6 and 7, Block 7, <br /> Fruit's Addition was ordered posted for special use and the <br /> hearing date set April §, 1937, in accordance with the <br /> application of the Arrow Laundry and Linen Supply. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the application of R. D. Goetz to conduct a wrecking yard <br /> in connection with b_te retail trailer business at 285§ S. Mai~ <br /> Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br /> of Trustee Layton, seconded by BrUno and carried, the appli- <br /> cation of R. D. Goetz to conduct a wre~king yard at 2§§5 S. <br /> Main Street, was denied. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of Joseph B. Moralice to conduct a commercial <br />poultry yard at 924 W. 17th Street, was referred to the Plan- <br />ning Commission and Sanitary Inspector for recommendation. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br />of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the applica- <br />tion of Joseph B. Moralice to conduct a commercial poultry <br />yard, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the petition of the Southern California Ornamental Bench & <br />Garden Supply Co. for permission to install fifty or more <br />benches in the parks and parkways for the ~onvenience of the <br />public, was referred to the Forestry Board. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Stuns, seoonded by Penn and carried, <br />the communication of the Orange County Ambulance Service <br />explaining their ambulance service, was received and filed. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the protest of the Womenms Christian Temperance Union against <br />the leasing of the Shugart Building at ~ll Fruit Street for <br />the distribution of beer and liquors, was referred to the <br />Chief of Police and Clerk to write a lettev to Mrs. Lorena B <br />Gibson, Secretary, advising her to address a protest to the <br />Board of Equalization, which is in charge of such businesses. <br /> <br /> <br />
