On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the City Council adjourned. APPROVED: Cit~ ~le rk. Council Chambers. Santa Ana City Hall. April 5th, 1937. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Rowland. Present: Trustees Plummer W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Absent: Trustees None. Each Trustee having received a copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes of March 15th and 29th, 1937, was dispensed with and the Minutes approved on motion of Layton, seconded by Smith and carried. In Re Communication City of Pasadena. In Re Contest of Traffic Safety Commission. In Re Calif. Sewage Works Assn. Conference. In Re Application Mex. Youth Progressive Club. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication of the City of Pasadena Park Superintendent relative to meeting being held in the Griffith Park Golf Clubhouse, Friday noon, April 9th, for the purpose of forming an organization which will be~beneficial to Park Superinten- dents, was referred to the Forestry Board for disposition. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the communication from the State Traffic Safety Commission relative to entering contest in Sacramento, was referred to the Traffic Safety Commission. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication advising of the Ninth Spring Conference of the California Sewage Works Association to be held in Stockto April 23rd and 2&th, 1937, was referred to Trustee Smith to investigate and delegated to attend if he finds it to be of interest and importance on sewage collection and disposal problems. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of the Mexican Youth Progressive Club of the Y.M.C.A. for a free permit to sell candy and ice cream during the track and field meet to be held at the Santa Ana High School, May 8th, 1937, was granted.
