On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants numbering from 1968 to 2206 inclusive, as audited and approved by the Financ Committee. . On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, F. W. Norton was appointed as a police officer of the City of Santa Aha. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded~by Layton and carried, the permits of the Broadway Cab Company and the Courtesy Cab Company heretofore granted were amended to conform with the application made to change the schedule of rates as follows: All rates from business zones bordering on the south at McFadden Street, on the east Grand Avenue, on the north Seventeenth Street, on the west Bristol Street. Rates at fifteen cents. All rates from business zones bordering on the south at Edi~ger Street, on the east Mabury Street, the north Santa Clara Street, on the west Artesia Street. Rated at twenty cents. All other zones remain unchanged. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, May 1st, the City Engineer was authorized and directed to begin work on W.P.A. Project Storm Drain along the north side of West Seventeenth Street from Flower Street to the west line of the Mastich property. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the City Engineer was authorized to proceed with W.P.A. Pro- Ject on Sewer on Roe Drive, Santa Ana Boulevard and along extension of Memory Lane to North Flower Street. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Purchasing Agent was authorized to purchase materials to be used on W.P.A. Project for Sewer on Roe Drive, etc. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids for the ing cast iron pipe to be submitted May 3rd, 1~37: 3500 feet 4 inch Cast Iron PiDe 2000 " 6 " " " 1000 " 1000 " l0 " " " " 2500 " 12 " " " " On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids to be opened May 3rd, 1937, for galvanized chain link fencing in accordant with plans and specifications on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent~
