Main Street on September 13th and 13th in connectionl <br />with their food show, was referred to the Department of <br />Public Ways with power to act. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee <br />the communication of <br /> <br />Kelsey, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the City of Anaheim advising of the <br /> <br /> appointment of Mayor Charles A. Pearson to represent said <br /> city to act in matters pertaining to the. United States Army <br /> Cadet Corps Replacement Center connecting with the Joint Out- <br /> fall Sewer Bection #l for disposal of sewage, was received, <br /> acknowledged and filed. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Yost, seconded by Kelsey and carried, <br />the application of the Santa Ana Paint Company for a twenty- <br />minute parking space at 430 N. Sycamore Street, was referred <br />to the Department of Public Ways. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the request of Technocracy, Inc. for the privilege oferectingi <br />two signs bearing the insignia of said organization, on N. <br />Main Street near Banta Clara Avenue and on the east side of <br />S. Main Street at the 3100 block, was referred to the Depart-! <br />ment of Public Ways with power to ac~ <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Yost, <br />the communication of J. A. <br /> <br />seconded by Xelsey, and carried, <br />Littrell requesting the removal <br /> <br />of pepper tree in front of 738 Cypress Avenue, was referred <br />to the Department of Public Ways and the Forestry Board with <br />power to act and report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of T~stee Kelsey, seconded by Hill and carried, <br />the request of Earl B. Lentz, Chief of Police, for the appoin~- <br />ment of an additional motorcycle officer from the present <br />personnel, was received and request referred to the Civil <br />Service Commission. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Yost, Seconded by Kelsey and carried, <br />the monthly reports of the various city officials, for the <br />month of August, were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelsey, <br />the Clerk was authorized to <br /> <br />seconded by Yost and carried, <br />draw warrants according to the <br /> <br />demands audited by the Finance Committee, numbering from 846 <br />to 757 inclusive. <br /> <br /> <br />
