No. 3326 <br /> <br />Colorado River Water - <br />Treaty with Mexico <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Additional <br /> <br />Taxicabs <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the bid of the Seagrave Corp. for One (1) <br />Seagrave Model ~5, Series 170, (V-12-185 BHP Motor) 750 <br />gallon triple combination puEp~ng engine, Hose Car & <br />150 gallon water tank, in the amount of $8,8?5.00 plus <br />State Sal~s Tax, was accepted and Auditor authorized to <br />draw up necessary contract and Clerk instructed to <br />return checks of the unsuccessful bidders. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the follow~ng Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Modifying Resolution No. 3294" <br />providing for the modification of the amount requested <br />of the State of California by the City of Santa Aha from <br />$5,000.00 to $3,@99.R1 for Civilian Defense, was intro- <br />duced, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3325 <br />and passed by the followinE vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br />Absent,Trustees <br /> <br />Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, <br />Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, a Resolution urging the United States Government, <br />in its negotiations and proposed treaty with the Republic <br />of Mexico guaranteeing 1,500,O00~acre feet of Colorado <br />River water annually, to assure users of Colorado River <br />water in the United States their present rights to said <br />water and such treaty to make available to the Republic <br />of Mexico only such sdditfonal water as may be available <br />after present rights of users by people of this country <br />hes been assured, was introduced, read, considered, <br />designated Resolution No. 3326 and passed by the follow- <br /> <br />icg vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Dale G. Haan, W.J.Cheuey, <br />Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None <br />Absent,Trustees None <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Mayor w~s authorized to write to the Office <br />of Defense T~ansportation stating that the population of <br />the City of Santa Ana has increased greatly and that <br />five additional t~xicabs are urgently needed to provide <br />transportation and requesting that the extra gasoline be <br />furnished the Broadway Cab Co. for such taxicabs. <br /> <br /> <br />
