Eugene Dixon, <br />Haan, W.J. Taxpayers' Assoc., <br />carried, communication from A.C.Mahoney, Secy,/extending <br /> <br />an invitation to the Council to attend the 18th Annual <br />Membership Meeting to be held Friday, March 24th, 1944, <br />at the Biltmore Hotel, in Los Angeles, was received and <br />filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication from L.A.Hauser, Exec.Secy. Colo. <br />River Board of Calif., extending an invitation to the <br />Council to attend hearing on protests of California and <br />its public agencies, against the ratification of the <br />proposed treaty between the United States and the <br />Republic of Mexico, relating to the waters of the <br />Colorado River, to be hel~ in Washington, D.C. the last <br />week in March and the first week in April, was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the notification of the State Board of Equal- <br />ization of alcoholic beverage application made by Chas. <br />E. Rees and Gwendolyn M. Cox, dba Lido Cafe, 415 No.Bush <br />St., was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the application of Gaylord M. Conzelman, to drive <br />a bus for the Santa Ana Bus Co., was received, filed and <br />permit granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chen~ey, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the application of the Santa Ana Neon Co. to erect <br />a neon sign at 315~ No. Main St., for the Lutheran <br /> <br />Service Center, was granted and sign ordered hung under <br />the supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />The request of Rev. Mark A. Hinman, of Bethel Tabernacle, <br />for pe~mlssion to conduct street meetings of a religious <br /> <br /> <br />
