Communication and submission of bill in the amount of $4.00 from D.H.Lea stating that a wheel of his truck sank in the mud on North Bristol St.,where the Water Dept. had been working and requesting reimbursement of this charge, was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, comunication and bill were referred to the Auditor. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried, the Minutes of the Executive Board of the Outfall Sewer, held at the Elk's Club at Anaheim on March 2nd, 1944, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the monthly reports of the Police Department and of the Poundmaster, for February, 1944, were received and filed. nature at the northwest corner of Bush and Fourth Sts. or at the northwest corner of Spurgeon and Fourth Sts., each Saturday night, from ? On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Mayor w~s authorized to appoint a committee to investigate this request and report back at the next meeting. Trustees Deckert and Cheney were appointed on the committee. Conununication from Mrs. Queenie Melville, Pension Chairman Indoor Sports Club Inc. of L.B.C. requesting that the Council go on record as favoring some kind of pension for the handicapped and crippled people of the State of California, was read. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the communication was referred to the City Attorney to report back at the next meeting. ,, On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the application of Major John Allen, Officer in Salvation Army, to solicit fuuds on Saturday was granted.
