In Re <br /> <br />City Budget <br /> <br />1944-1945 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Amend Minutes <br /> <br />of June 14, 1944 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Blvd. stop signs <br /> <br />Santa Clara, Bush <br /> <br />& E1 Portal <br /> <br />467 <br /> <br />The Mayor directed the Auditor to notify the Department <br />heads of the various City Departments to prepare their <br />Budgets for the coming fiscal year and submit same to <br />the Auditor by June 1st, 1944. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br /> <br />carried, the Minutes of the City Council, of June <br /> Line 8, <br />lath, 1944, recorded on page 3?~,/Record Book 14, the <br /> <br />words "with pay", after the word "leave", be deleted <br />and the Minutes be amended accordingly and to that <br />extent. <br /> <br />The Chief of Police recomnended that boulevard stop <br />signs be placed at the intersection of Santa Clara, <br />Bush and E1 Portal Sts., and on motion of Trustee Haan, <br />seconded by Dixon and carried, the matter was referred <br />to the Street Co,w~sstoner and Street Superintendent <br />for action and to report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br /> <br />May 15th, 1944. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees <br /> <br />Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan, <br />W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees W. Eugene Dixon <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each <br />member of the City Council having received copies of the <br />Minutes of May 1st, further reading of the Minutes was <br />dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Cheney, <br />seconded by Haan and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Beverage <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the notifications of the State Board of Equal- <br />ization of alcoholic beverage applications made by <br />Harry Jacobs, dba Trade Winds Cafe, 212 E. 4th St.$ <br />Ellis W. Stanley and Daniel K. Brown, dba L.B.Harrison <br />Co., 311 W. 5th St., and Neubert G.Perrin and Julius B. <br />Lowenstein, dba Broadway Billiard Parlor, 310~ No. <br />Broadway, were received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
