In Re City Budget 1944-1945 In Re Amend Minutes of June 14, 1944 In Re Blvd. stop signs Santa Clara, Bush & E1 Portal 467 The Mayor directed the Auditor to notify the Department heads of the various City Departments to prepare their Budgets for the coming fiscal year and submit same to the Auditor by June 1st, 1944. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Minutes of the City Council, of June Line 8, lath, 1944, recorded on page 3?~,/Record Book 14, the words "with pay", after the word "leave", be deleted and the Minutes be amended accordingly and to that extent. The Chief of Police recomnended that boulevard stop signs be placed at the intersection of Santa Clara, Bush and E1 Portal Sts., and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, the matter was referred to the Street Co,w~sstoner and Street Superintendent for action and to report back. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried, the City Council adjourned. Council Chambers Santa Ana City Hall May 15th, 1944. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees W. Eugene Dixon The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of May 1st, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried. In Re Beverage Applications On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the notifications of the State Board of Equal- ization of alcoholic beverage applications made by Harry Jacobs, dba Trade Winds Cafe, 212 E. 4th St.$ Ellis W. Stanley and Daniel K. Brown, dba L.B.Harrison Co., 311 W. 5th St., and Neubert G.Perrin and Julius B. Lowenstein, dba Broadway Billiard Parlor, 310~ No. Broadway, were received and filed.
