No. 5~6 <br /> <br />Enlarging Central Traffic <br /> <br />District "B" <br /> <br />motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />matter was refe~ed to the Street Superintendent to <br />report back at next meeting. <br /> <br />At the request of the Forestry Board, Dale Griggs, Park <br />Supt. submitted a communication relative to proposed <br />improvements to be made at Birch Park and at the Municipal <br />Bowl and proposed installation of sprinkler systems in <br />parkways on No. Flower St. and North Park Blvd., and at <br />Museum grounds, with request that funds be included in <br />the 194~-1945 Budget for the prosecution of said <br />pro Je c t s. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication was referred to Park Conm~issioner <br />for study and to report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the recommendation of H.M. Neighbour, City <br />Engineer, submitting Budget for the Fiscal year 1944- <br />1948, in the amount of $33,729.12, from the 1/4 cent gas <br />tax, covering general maintenance of all streets of <br />major importance and resurfacing of W. 4th St. from Main <br />to Artesia Sts., was accepted and approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, application of Sunset Ranch Rodeo for a permit <br />to use the Municipal Bowl on June 3rd and 4th, for the <br />purpose of staging a Rodeo, was granted and application <br />referred to Auditor to make necessary contact for pay- <br />ment of City license of $150.00 per day to the Clerk and <br />leasing of Bowl, plus 10% of the gross receipts. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication from State Compensation Insurance <br />Co. advising of general revision and reduction in basic <br />compensation insurance rates to become effective Jan. <br /> <br />1, 1948, was received and filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Enlarging Central Traffic <br /> District "B" in the City of Santa Ana" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution <br /> <br />No. ,5~36 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan, <br /> W.J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> Absent, Trustees W. Eugene Dixon <br /> <br />,I <br /> <br /> <br />
