<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and
<br />carried, bids as submitted by J.P.Rumar, in the amount
<br />of $8,A37.00 and John C. Blystone, in the amount of
<br />$8,?88.00, covering the construction of a frame buildin~
<br />of approximately 2280 square feet area, at the Joint
<br />Outfall Sewer Plant, were rejected and Clerk authorized
<br />to return checks to bidders.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and
<br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance Amendin~ Zoning Ordinance Of 1939 NO. 1074"
<br />
<br /> introduced, read, considered and placed on file
<br /> second reading.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and
<br />carried, application of Henry C. Rurup to conduct a
<br />community sales yard, one day a w~ek, at 2A15 West 8th
<br />St., was denied.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br /> Ordinance Entitled "An Ordinance Est-
<br /> ablishing a Recreation Department for
<br /> the City of SantaAna Under Management
<br /> of a Recreation Commission Consisting
<br /> of Seven (7) Members; Prescribing the
<br /> Manner of Appointment of the Members"
<br /> and Establishing a Recreation Department
<br /> for the City of Santa Aha Under Manage-
<br /> ment of a Recreation Commission Consist-
<br /> ing of Seven (7) Members; Prescribing
<br /> the Manner of Appointment of said Members
<br /> and Acquiring and Disposing of Funds in
<br /> Relation Thereto"

<br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file
<br />for second reading.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the Minutes of the City Council of Dec. 20,
<br />1943, as recorded on Page 432, Record Book lA, were
<br />amended to grant a leave of absence for the duration, an
<br />six months thereafter, to Wm. H. Puffer, Fireman, as
<br />provided by the Civil Service laws.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the Minutes of the City Council of Jan. 3,
<br />19AA, as recorded on Page 438, Record Book lA, were
<br />amended to grant a leave of absence for the duration,
<br />and six months thereafter, to Robert J. Cone, Fireman,
<br />as provided by the Civil Service laws.
