<br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk we~-e authorized to sign
<br />the agreement between the Board of Education, Santa Aha
<br />City Schools and the City of Santa Aha, relative to the
<br />Community Recreation Program for the period Jtuue 12,
<br />1944 to June 30, 1946.

<br />The Mayor recon~ended that the following persons be
<br />appointed to serve on the Recreation Commission:
<br />
<br /> Mrs. Florence Givens, Mrs. Cassius Paull,
<br /> Courtney Chandler, Kenneth Morrison, L, wrence W.
<br /> Patterson, Aubrey Glines, W.G. Edwards.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the appointments as recon~ended by the Mayor
<br />were ratified.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to proceed to open
<br />bids covering the water-proofing of the City Hall, as
<br />follows:
<br />
<br /> Miller & Thackston, in the amount of $1,289.00;
<br /> Cashier's check in the amount of $129.00 and
<br /> alternate bid in the amount of $1,B89.00.
<br /> James A. Morton, in the muount of $2,280.00;
<br /> Cashier's check not enclosed with bid.
<br /> A.0.Miller Co., in the amount of ~8,338.O0;
<br /> Cashier's check in the amount of $881.00 enclosed.
<br /> Home Protection Service, in the ~mount of
<br /> $2,V46.B2; Cashier's check not enclosed w~Ith bid.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the bids were referred to the Building Inspector
<br />and City Engineer for study and to report back at the
<br />next meeting.

<br />carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution of the City Council of the City
<br /> of Santa Ana Adopting Budget and Approving
<br /> Memorandum of Agreement for Expenditure of
<br /> 1/4 cent Gas Tax Allocated for Streets of
<br /> Major Importance"
<br />
<br />and authorizing the Mayor and City~Clerk to sign the
<br />same, was read, considered, designated Resolution No.
<br />
