In Re Working Shifts Firemen In Re Advertise for Firemen ~yor of 'the Cit~Jof Santa Ana working shifts effective June ~he petition for Writ of Nandate of Dave Styring and other regular and permanent employees of the Fire Department in the City of Santa Ana having been upheld by tlte Appella~ Court, on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Fire Chief was authorized to put in operation a plan allowing four of twelve hours each off p~r month, l, 1944, for the Firemen. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Auditor was authorized to place an advertis ment in the daily newspaper, advertising for men to fill positions in the Fire Department, as emergency appointee such applications to be made On motion of Trustee Cheney, carried, to the Civil Service Board seconded'lbY Dixon and adjourned. the City Council ~ ~/ ~ I City Clerk City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Clerk. Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney Absent: Trustees Asa Hoffman. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, Trustee Deckert was appointed Mayor Pro Tem in the absence of' Mayor Hoffman. The Clerk commenced the readi~g of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of June 5th, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried. In Re Communication Orange Co. League of Cities In Re Communication City of Anaheim Council Chambers Santa Aha City Hall June 19th, 1944. 7:50 P.M. Communication from Secy. Orange County League of Cities extending an invitation to the Council to attend meetin to be held at the Presbyterian Church, in Laguna Beach, at 6:45 P.M. June 22nd, was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, communicati was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, communication from City Clerk of Anaheim, advising that City of ~naheim approved the salary items set ~p on the ~ayroll of the Joint 0utfall Sewer for Sections 1 and 2 for the fiscal year !944-~945, was received and filed.
