<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and
<br />
<br />carried, the monthly reports of the Chief Building
<br />Inspector for the City of Santa Ana and of the City of
<br />
<br />Tustin and report of the Judge, for the month o f June,
<br />
<br />1944, were received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants
<br />according to demands as audited by the Finance Committee,
<br />n,,mbering 1 to 172 inclusive.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, communication from Chief of the Fire Department
<br />advising of resignation of Earl M. Thompson, June 20,
<br />1944 and H.E.Carter, effective July 1st, 19AA and
<br />appointments of H.L.Tucker, Samuel Ruff, J.A.Riggs,
<br />James D. Price, Eugene Schaefer and Leslie G. Langham,
<br />all filling positions as hosemen and reinstatement of
<br />Roy Ausman to former position as Hoseman, effective
<br />
<br />June llth, 19AA, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, communication from Geo. G. Boyd, Chief of
<br />Police, advising of appointment of Delbert D. Sanders,
<br />effective June 28th, l~A4, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />A petition was read signed by five tenants on West ~rd
<br />St. protesting against removal of loading zone c~ West
<br />3rd St. between Main and Sycamore Sts., and communicatioex
<br />from Dorothy Knipper, 122 West Srd, stating she had no
<br />objection to removal of such loading zone.
<br />
<br />On motion o£ Trustee Chancy, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the matter was tabled until next meeting.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and
<br />carried, the recommendation, by Resolution, of the
<br />Planning Co~mnission was concurred in and the application
<br />of James M. Anderson to use premises at 823 Minter St.
<br />as doctor's offices, was approved, by Variance No. 21.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Chancy and
<br />carried, communication from Railroad Commission, in the
<br />matter of application of Pacific Electric Ry. Co. to
<br />abandon its rail line between the intersection of Main
<br />and Fourth Sts. in Santa Aha and the intersection
<br />
<br />Lemon St. and Chapman Ave. in the City of Orange, per
<br />Application No. 28112, was received and filed.
