<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the Resolution of Intention to Sell Real
<br />Property, as of July 17th, 194A, was read, considered,
<br />designated Resolution No. 33A3 and passed by the follow-
<br />

<br />No written or oral protests having been received cover-
<br />ing the closing up and abandonment of alley running
<br />easterly from Pacific Ave. between West 6th and West
<br />7th St., on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney
<br />and carried, a Resolution was introduced ordering
<br />Improvement of alley described as follows:
<br />
<br /> That certain alley, 15.75 feet in width,
<br /> running through the center of Block "B~,
<br /> Fifth Street Tract, as per map thereof
<br /> recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Boos 4,
<br /> Page 81, Records of Orange County,
<br /> California, and extending Easterly from
<br /> Pacific Avenue, a distance of 400 feet.
<br />
<br />The Resolution was read, considered, designated
<br />
<br />Resolution No. 3344 and passed by the following vote~

<br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney aud
<br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "An Ordinance Amending Ordinance NO. 1052,
<br /> Entitled "An Ordinance Establishing Water
<br /> Rates in the City of Santa Ana, Prescribing
<br /> Rules and Regulations Covering Consumption
<br /> of Water and Fixing a Penalty for the
<br /> Violation Thereof, and Repealing Ordinances
<br /> in Conflict Herewith", and Providing for a
<br /> Change in Water Rates"
<br />
<br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for
<br />second reading.
<br />
<br />The MaWr recommended that Howard Curran be appointed
<br />to serve on the Planning Commission to fill vacancy
<br />created by resignation of Wm. J. Tway.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the appointment of Howard Curran, as recommende
<br />by the Mayor, was ratified, term expiring June 30th,1948.

<br />carried, the action and settlement made by the City
<br />Attorney in the case of Paul Reynolds, Plaintiff versus
<br />
