Jones, Carleton L. Andrews, Loyd Jester Williams, John M. Vilas, Everett John Tuck, Harley R. Casteel, Walter Henry Estee, Carl Paul Gantenbein and Charles William Luken, Jr., to drive taxicabs were granted and Clerk authorized to issue licenses. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, application of 0ram H. Strauser, T.C.Strauser and J. Jennell, Devon Motor Co., to conduct the business of dealing in motor vehicles, at 1219 So. Main St., was held over for thirty days Clerk authorized to advertise in accordance with automobile dealer's Ordinance. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the monthiy reports of Building Dep~ tment and Judge's office, for the month of Dec. 1947, were received and filed. db~ and On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the monthly demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering 2049 to 24~ inclusive. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Chene2,~ an~ carried, appendage to and modification of lease, between City of Santa Aha and County of Orange, Agricultural Extension Service, effect- ing Rooms 128, 124, 12S, 128, 127 and 129, at Community Center Building, W. 8th St., dated Nov. 1st, 1946, to include storage rooms in basement, was approved and Mayor and Clerk authorized to execute appendage to lease. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication and Resolution No. 174 of the Planning Commission granting variance to permit construction of a portion of a market building on the e~st 62.$ feet of p~operty located at Sycamore and Washington Sts., in accordance with application of Thelma Gordon, were approved. O~'motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, the following Rssolution entitled: "A Resolution Approving Agreement for Maintenance of State Highway in the City of Santa Ana and Authorizing the Execution Thereof" .was read, considered, designated Resolution No. ~629 and passed bY the following vote: Ayes, Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Lake, husband and wife, Ed Randall and Hazel~Randall, husband and wife, and Roy Russell and Maurtne Russell, husband and wife, an easement for sewer line l0 feet in width, the center line of which is described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Washington Avenue and English Street and running west on the extension of the said center line of Washington Avenue to an intersection with the center line of King Street, except the portions within the English Street and King Street, was read, ~considered, designated Resolution No. 3631 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R.
