Carson Smith, Noes, Trustees None Absent, Trustees None On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1056 and creating a civil service board consisting of five members" read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1219 and passed by On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, request of W.T.Cox Co. to remove a portion of curbing, said portion not to exceed 19 ft. in length, from the north side of Fruit St. approximately 100 ft. west of the center of Lincoln Ave., was granted. On recommendation of the Forestry Board and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, petition of residents and property owners requesting removal of sycamore trees on South Flower St., was denied. On motion of Trustee~Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, request of Saunders & Co. for loading zone at 108 No. Sycanore was ordered held in abeyance indefinitely. St. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, map showing portion of Towner Street was approved and the follow- ing Resolution entitled: "Resolution approving map showing portion of_Towner Street in the City of Santa Ana proposed to be vacated and abandoned" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3638 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. Noes, Trustees None Absen$, Trustees None On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, bond of Butt Huff and Esther M. Huff, in the amount of $14,500.00, written by United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co., guaranteeing the street improvements on Tenth Street, in Tract No. 1262, and an extension thereof to Pacific Ave., was approved. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Accepting Deed Grantings Real Property for Street Purposes" from Frank A. Showalter and Fanny S. Showalter, husband and wife, covering the following described property: "Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 33 of Tract No. 671 as per map thereof recorded in Book 24, at page 32 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, said point being the western terminus of the south line of Tenth Street, as shown on said ma~ of Tract No. 671; running thence south 89° 36' 15 west 165.15 feet along the westerly extension of the said south line of Tenth Street to its intersection with the center line of Pacific Avenue; thence North 0° 40' East 60.00 feet along said center line of Pacific Avenue to an intersect- ion with the westerly extension of the north line of said Tenth Street; thence North 89° 36, la" East 165.12 feet to the western terminus of the ~aid north line of Tenth Street; thence south 0o 38' west 60.00 feet to the point of beginning," was re~d, considered, designated Resolution No. 3636 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees W.J.
