<br />Telegram from Chairman National Conference on prevention and
<br />control of Juvenile delinquency was read, received and filed, and
<br />on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />Chairman. of Board authorized ~o reply to co-m-Anication and that
<br />copy of communication be referred to Recreation Department and
<br />all future communications relative to Juvenile delinquency be
<br />addressed to that Department.

<br />Chandler and carried, Mayor authorized to issue proclamation which
<br />will be given to newspapers and communication referred to Council
<br />of Churches for action.

<br />ing that City plan now, by budgeting for entry in the Fifth Santa
<br />Annual Frolic for 1948, was read and on motion of Trustee. Reed,

<br />Communication from Santa Aha Chapter Order of DeMolay requesting
<br />that annual Civic Day be held March 15th, 1948, was read and on
<br />motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />communication was received, filed and acknowledged and date set
<br />aside as DeMolay Civic Day.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />Minutes of the Executive Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer meeting
<br />held at Anaheim, January 8th, 1948, were received and filed.

<br />Communication was read from Secretary Forestry Board recommending
<br />that Council make allowance in budget for funds covering curtain
<br />improvements proposed to be made at Santa Aha City Memorial Park.
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, Chair-
<br />man was authorized to appoint a committee to work with Park
<br />Superintendent relative to improvements as set out in recommend-
<br />ation, with power to act. Chairman appointed Trustee Chandler,
<br />Auditor Martien and himself to work on committee.

<br />Com--anication was read from Joint Committee on Park Fund request-
<br />ing that Mayor call a public meeting and invite representatives
<br />of all clubs, civic groups, business firms, etc. and from this
<br />group select a citizens' committee~ relative to accepting donations.,
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler,. seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />Chairman of the Board set February 17th, 1948, at 7:SO P.M. as
<br />date of special meeting on Park Fund.
