Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall July 25th, 1949. 4:00 P.M. City Council met for a special meeting for the purpose of a~pting a Resolution to enter into an agreement with the State Personnel Board and a Resolution proposing to annex certain territory known as Prentice Park. Meeting called to order by Mayor Smith. Present: Trustees Absent: Trustees In Re Resol. No. 3820 Agreement btn City & State Personnel Board Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. W. J. Cheney On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, following Resolution entitled: "A Resolution authorizing the execution of an Agreement between the City of Santa Ana and the State Personnel Board" the was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3820 and passed by the following vote: In Re Resol. No. 3821 Annex certain territory - (Prentice Park) · Ayes, Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. Noes, Trustees None Absent, Trustees W.J.Cheney On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, following Resolution entitled: "Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, proposing to annex certain territory to the City of Santa Ane, describing said territory and giving notice of the time and place of a public hearing at which said hearing any person o~ning property in such territory may appear and show cause why said property should not be annexed" the was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3821 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees Courtney R. Present: Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. Absent: Trustees None Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of July 18th and July 25th, 1949, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the Clerk was authorized to open bids covering reconstruction of South Broadway between Commercial and Edinger Streets, as follows:
