Petition was read signed by i2 residents on N. Baker Street requesting investigation of waste water running on street. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, copy of petition was ordered furnished Trustee Mandy for enforcement of Ordinance regulating condition. ,, On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the petition signed by 13 residents in the southwest part of the city requesting street lights at the conners of Glenwood and Flower Sts and Gertrude and Flower Streets, was referred to Trustee Cheney and the City Engineer. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by lieed and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign a release f~r the Dept. of the Army Corps of Engineers on Lease No. W04-353-eng-2052 coverin rental of rooms Nos. 209, 214 and 215 in the Community Center Bldg., lease terminating January 31, 1949. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the application of the Dixon Pump Works to drill a well on the proper- ,t,y located at ll06 E. First Street, was granted. Communication was read from 6he Planning Commission recommending that a set'back line be established on the north side of W. First Street 55 feet north of the center line of said street and extend- ing from Sullivan Street west to the City Limits. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the follow~ng Resolution entitled: "Resolution declaring Intention to Establish a Set Back on North side of West First Street" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3735 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees W.J. Cheney, Courtney ~. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith Noes, Trustees None Absent, Trustees None. Resolution No. 235 of the Planning Commission was read, adopting and recommending delimiting of a site for a Civic Center, that area bounded by Sixth Street on the South, Eighth Street and Church Street on the North, Sycamore Street on the East and the center line of Hoss Street on the West. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Clerk was authorized to publish a notice of public hearing relative to proposed boun- daries delimiting a site for Civic Center; setting the hearing date on the 21st day of February, 1949. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the monthly reports for January of the Building, Poll~, Juvenile and City Court and the Juvenile report for the year 1948, were filed. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the demands as audited by the Finance Committee, were approved and Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands nttmbering 2519 to 2920inclusive.
