State Employees~ Retirement Act be brought up to date, was In Re Request Res. Mgr. Casa de Santa Ana received and filed. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, a minimum of three men and a maximum of four men to act as guards to insure public safet~ at the Housing Project, was allowed Resident Manager, Casa de In Re Nationel Guard Armory and parking space - W. 8th St. Santa Ana, during the foot-ball season. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, additional ground was granted to the State for the establishment of an armory and parking space on area south of County Library Building at Community Center on West 8th St., for a fifty-year period, and City Engineer instructed to plot the exact footage In Re Purchase buildihgs from Citrus Growers Inc. so that street right-Of-way remain in the name of the City. ,, Trustee Chandler stated that Citrus Growers, Inc., are willirg to sell buildings, rest room facilities and approximately fifty tent frames located on City owned property at the Delhi Mexican National Camp, to the City for $12~0.00. Park Superintendent advised these buildings could be used for a City nursery or a playground area. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Chandler and carried, recommendation was approved that City purchase buildings at price stated. Chandler, John W. Martin, Jr., Virgil H. Reed, Allen A. Mandy. Absent: Trustees None Each member of the City Council havi.ng received copies of the Minutes of September 19th, 1949, further reading df the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried. In Re Hearing - Assess. Dist. No. 194 (B.E.Sewer Dist.) The Mayor announced that the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. has arrive~ and this is the time and place fixed by the City Council for hear- ing on the report which was ordered by Resolution No. 3833 concer~ lng certain work or improvement for the construction of certain sanitary sewer and water work in the City of Santa Ana, known as In Re Affidavit ~of mailing (Assess.Dist.No.194~ (S.E.$ewer Dist.) Assessment District No. 194. The Clerk presented affidavit of mailing notices of said hearing, which affidavit was executed August 30th, 19~9. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the affidavit was ~pproved and ordered filed.
