In Re Letter of th~lks to O'Melveny & Myers In Re Requested changes in Auditing and Purchasing Dept. APPROVED: Mayor of the City of a Ana. of Title "V" of Housing Project located on West Eighth Street, to report back at the next meeting. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the Clerk was instructed to write a letter of appreciation to O'Melveny & Myers thanking them for their services rendered to the City in connection with proposed bond issue for a Municipal Bowl. The Chairman of the Board read his recommendation concerning the office of City Auditor which included a request that the position of Auditor be vacated due to the revised and improved records in relation to accounting methods established during the past year and that Ruby E. Bush be placed in charge of combined offices, includir~ Payroll Department, at an fncrea~e in salary of $50.00 per month; also, that an estimated bid of $1450.00 per year has been received from an accounting firm fo~ auditing services and additional services as required by the City. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the Chairman was authorized to make the requested changes in the Auditing and Purchasing Department and recommendation approved. Absent: Trustees None Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of October 3rd, 1949, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Cheney, In Re Bid Alterations in Police Dept. seconded by Reed and carried. ,, On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the Clerk was authorized to open the one bid covering alterations to be made in the Police Department, as follows: Bid of Clarence E. Bopp, in the amount of $786.00 for painting. Cashier's check in the amount of $78.60 accompanied bid. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the Building Inspector was instructed to prepare specifications for alterations to be made in the Police Department and Clerk author- ized to readvertise for bids. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, bid was rejected.
