<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Oheney and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the
<br />variances of Elbert C. Mlsslldine and Henry John and Pauline M.
<br />Kell, were granted, as one. u~!t, under certain conditions, to
<br />permit business uses upon six'25 foot lots at the Northeast come
<br />
<br />of Pomona and Sycamore Streets.

<br />0n motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved that a
<br />variance be granted to Stanley E. Goods, Jr. to permit a beauty
<br />parlor and/or a doctor's offloe within the existing building at
<br />
<br />11~ West Fifteenth Street, and variance granted.

<br />On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved that a
<br />variance be granted to LeRay and Catherine W. Quick to allow a
<br />reduction in the rear yard requirement from ten feet to four feet
<br />on a lot at the northeast corner of Main and Occidental Streets,
<br />
<br />and variance granted.

<br />Communication was read from City Engineer advising that street
<br />improvements on Sycamore, Broadway, Edinger and ~rchard, within
<br />the boundaries of Tract No. 1265, have been satisfactorily
<br />completed, and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney
<br />and carried, communication was received, filed and bond, in the
<br />amount of $2,000.00, submitted by Griffith Company, ordered
<br />
<br />released.

<br />Communication was read from County Tax Collector advising that ta
<br />deede~Lo~ 14, Block 13, Pacific Electric Sub., being located on
<br />W. 4th St. between Western and Artesia ets., will be so~d at
<br />public auction. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by
<br />Cheney and carried, Clerk was authorized to notify County Tax
<br />
