Simmons to conduct the business of <br /> <br />dealing in motor vehicles at 315 South Main Street, was granted. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />applications of Elbert L. Tisdale and William T. Paine, to drive <br />taxicabs, were granted and permits ordered issued. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Rev. James Elmer, on behalf of <br />residents of Palm Street requesting t~hat parking time limit of <br />hours be established to remedy the parking situation;also report <br />of Mayor was read who advised that Manager of Oase-Swayne had <br />been contacted and employees would be requested not to abuse <br />parking facilities on the s~eet and refrain from littering the <br />parkways and streets. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by <br />0honey and carried, communication and report were filed and Clerk <br /> <br />to notify first signer on petition as to progress made to date. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />reports of Building Department, Police Department, Judge's office <br />for the month of October, Fifth.Annual Report of Recreation <br />Department covering fiscal year 1948-1949 and report on the Orange <br /> <br />County Joint Outfall Sewer Operations, were received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
