<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried,
<br />
<br />· communication from I.K.Werwinski Insurance Agency, to,ether with
<br />copy of The General Pulaski's Memorial Day Resolution, now pending
<br />in .Congress, were received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, Map
<br />Tract No. 1325~ covering improvements on Washington Avenue and
<br />English Sts., was approved and proper authorities authorized to
<br />sign and bond' in the amuunt of $4,000.00, was accepted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />communication from Orange County Mosquito Abatement District pro-
<br />testing a'ction of Councilin denying exemptions from the parking
<br />meter regulations to th9 vehicles in this District, was received,
<br />filed and Trustee Mandy directed to answer communication.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />communication from Department of Agriculture, requesting that con-
<br />sideration be given to amendments or more workable provisions con-
<br />templated reference to parking situation, was received, filed and
<br />Trustee Mandy directed t9 answer communication.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, request
<br />of C.E.Wal~sr for permission to construct 35 ft. driveway for
<br />entrance to auto park at 3rd and Bush Sts., was granted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, request
<br />of Fire Chief to purchase electric generator for supply in
<br />
<br />emergency disaster, was tabled for further study and consideration
<br />.
<br />
<br />On motion of TrusteeReed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Clerk
<br />was authorized to advertise for bids for disposal of garbage and
<br />provisions, as recommended by City Engineer, to be included in the
<br />new agreement. It was moved by Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy
<br />and carried, that the former motion be amended not to sdvertise
<br />for disposal of garbage in order to further check the agreement.
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic
<br />beverage application made by Leslie C. Gilbert and Stanley JohnstG
<br />325 W. 4th St., was received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />applications of J.C.Samuels and Richard Miller to drive taxicabs,
<br />were granted and permits ordered issued.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br />application of Paul W. Cope to conduct the business of dealing in
<br />motor vehicles at 132~ No. Main Street, was held over for thirty
<br />days and Clerk authorized to advertise in accordance with auto-
<br />mobile dealer's Ordinance.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />monthly reports for February c~ the Building, City Court, and
<br />Police Departments, were received and filed.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br /> demands as audited by the Finance Committee, were approved and
<br /> Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering
<br />
<br /> 2921 to 3314 inclusive.
