<br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission granting a variance
<br /> to Ben Heflinger waiving the re~ yard requirement on Lot 3 and
<br /> the east 18 feet of Lot 2 in Block 1, of Blee's Addition, known a:
<br /> 311 E. 1st Street, was approved and application granted.

<br />On motion of T~ustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana
<br /> Declaring its Intention as such City to
<br /> vacate portions of 15th Street, Washington,
<br /> and Poinsettia Streets, within said City,
<br /> describing those portions proposed to be
<br /> vacated and fixing the time and place for
<br /> hearing of all persons interested in or
<br /> objecting to the proposed vacation"
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1239 and passed by
<br />the following vote:
<br />
<br /> Ayes, Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler,
<br /> Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed,
<br /> R. Carson Smith.
<br /> Noes, Trustees None
<br /> Absent, Trustees None
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed,
<br />seconded by Mandy and carried, the bid of W. W. Woods, in the
<br />amount of $6,375.56, plus tax, was accepted coverin~ the furnish-
<br />ing of a 3-ton, G.M.C. truck and Gar Wood, 12 yard, load packer
<br />body, together with a two ~peed rear axle.

<br />On recommendation' of the committee and on motion of Trustee
<br />Cheney, seconded by Reed and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:

<br /> "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations Under Ordinance No. 1030"
<br />
<br />establishing a loading zone on the south side of E. 1st Street
<br />between Orange Avenue and Maple Street, located as follows: The
<br />west ~0 £eet of the east 44.5 feet, was read, considered,
<br />designated Resolution No. 3?28 and passed by the following vote:
<br />

<br /> Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed,
<br /> R. Carson Smith.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the
<br />Clerk was instructed to furnish copy of letter from Secy. Santa
<br />Ana City Schools, to the previously appointed committee, request-
<br />ing that loading zones be established at the various schools.

<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed,
<br />seconded by Chandler and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:~
