<br />Communication was read from H.D.Pickering, Poundmaster, requestin

<br />dog taxes, and on motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler
<br />and carried, request was granted and salary not to exceed $175.00
<br />per month for the assistant.

<br />Request was read from The Grand Market, 3rd and Grand Sts.,

<br />for a street light and pedestrian walk and on motion of Trustee
<br />Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, request was referred to
<br />Trustee Cheney and City Engineer for recommendation and to report

<br />of The Improved Order of Redmen, Choctaw Tribe No. 292 for
<br />permission to hold a benefit dance at the V.F.W. Hall, April 29th,

<br />Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried,
<br />of Fred Land and Joe L.Palacio to drive taxicabs,

<br />Communication was read from G.M.Kipp, 111 E. 1st St., protesting
<br />cars parking all day on E. 1st St., between Bush and So. Main
<br />Street. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried
<br />communication was received, filed and Acting Chief of Police was
<br />
<br />instructed to enforce the Ordinance as to parking regulations.

<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, claim
<br />of Rebecca Jobst for d. amages~ in the amount of $1640.00, for
<br />injuries sustained when she fell on the sidewalk on the north side
<br />of Fourth St. between Main and Spurgeon Streets, was referred to
<br />the City Attorney.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried,
<br />request of W.J.Cheney for permission to leave the State for a
<br />~,eriod beginning May 5th to May 26th inclusive, was granted.
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br />following persons were appointed as the official Civic Center
<br />Committee for the purpose of studying the design and development
<br />of the proposed civic center in Santa Aha: Cy Featherly, Nat Neff,
<br />Clyde Watson, William Spurgeon Jr., Walter Schmtd, Frank Harwood,
<br />Rodney Bacon and W.K. Hillyard. Trustee Chandler to act as
<br />Chairman.

<br />Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids for supplying and
<br />installing fluorescent lighting fixtures in a portion of the main
