Rensberger <br /> <br />In Re <br />Co~nunicatton <br />Mabel and Robert <br />Phillips <br /> <br />In Re <br />Alcoholic Beverages. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Street Dance <br />Y.W.C.A. <br /> <br /> filed relative to making a survey of all housing units to determ~ <br /> opinion of Landlord, tenants and property owners in regards to <br /> continuing Rent Control. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />communication of the Chamber of Com~merce with reference to <br />payment of dueS in the amount of *50.00,was received and filed <br />and payment authorized. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried,the re <br />of Mayor Smith to the letter from the Chamber of Commerce was <br />ordered made an official record with reference to enforcement of <br /> <br />Parking Meter Ordinance. <br />, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />Mayor was authorized to write a letter to the Public Utilities <br />Commission orotesting encroactmment of the Laguna Beach line in th <br />territory now being served by the Santa Ana Bus Service. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />committee composed of City Auditor, Trustee Cheney and Vern Downs <br />was authorized to negotiate for seventy-seven parking meters <br />to be installed ou the City owned~pa7king lot on Third Street <br />between Birch and Ross Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, <br />the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance <br />establishing authority for the City to place parking meters on <br />off street parking lot and regulations for enforcement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy aud carried, <br />corrected grant deed from J. E. Prentice on property donated for <br />park purposes was accepted and City Attorney instructed to <br />Resolution of acceptance. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried,request <br />of G. B. Rensberger for the Santa Ana Council of Churches, that <br />the school bus zone established on W..6th and Birch St. be <br />transferred to a new location using the two parallel perking <br />stallson 6th Street nearest to Bush Street, was referred to <br />Trnstee Cheney and City Engineer. <br /> <br />Communication of Mabel and Robert Phillips was read, protesting <br />agaiust the employees of the Case-Swayne Company parking in front <br />of their home. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, the Mayor was authorized to contact the Manager of the <br />Company with reference to providing parking facilities for <br />employees. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic <br />beverage applications made by Ralph Meyer, assignee, 903 S. Main <br />Street, Edward Larsen& D. Morgan Loomis, ~201 N. Main Street and <br />Grace C. & Lyman C. Woodford, 9~04 N. Main Street, were received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />the request of the Y.W.C.A. for the privilege of holding a street <br />dance adjacent to the lot owned by them at 1410 N. Sycamore <br />was granted subject to approval of Police Chief. <br /> <br /> <br />
