<br />On recommendation of the City Engineer, and on motion of Trustee
<br />Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Treasurer was
<br />instructed to withd~aw $300,000.00 from Bond Funds now in U.S.
<br />Treasury Certificates due July 1, 1949; such money to be transferr~
<br />to the Storm Sewer Construction Fund.
<br />
<br />Communication was read from Chairman, Civic Center Committee,
<br />recommending that certain funds be set aside for the ultimate
<br />purchase of property in the Civic Center, and on motion of Truste,
<br />Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was referred
<br />to Budget Committee for study and recommendation.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, it
<br />was decided that the City Join the County of Orange and City of
<br />Lynwood in employing Dr. C.L.Dunn in an effort to prevent the
<br />Pacific Electric Ry. Co. from discontinuing their passenger servi,
<br />cost not to exceed $500.00e
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution Accepting Deed Granting Easement"
<br />
<br />from Roy C. Bogardus and Grace S. Bogardus, conveying an easement
<br />for all the purposes and uses of a public street on Towner between
<br />Russell and Borchard, was read, considered, designated Resolution
<br />No. 3806 and passed by the following vote:
<br />

<br /> Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith.

<br />from Santa Aha Board of Education, governing body of the Santa Aha
<br />Junior College, conveying an easement for all the purposes of
<br />constructing and maintaining a water main and sewer main, beginning
<br />at a point in the south line of l?th St. which is 38 ft. westerly
<br />from center line of Bristol St; running thence southerly parallel
<br />to and 38 ft. distant from center line of Bristol St., a distance
<br />of 1044 ft. more or less, to a point approximately 22 ft. North of
<br />the south line of Santa Aha College property, was read, considered
<br />
