Mandy. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />from Louis Weinberg requesting extension <br /> <br /> of time on payment of City Sales Tax and on motion of Trustee <br /> Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, an extension of sixty days <br /> was granted. <br /> <br /> A Notice was read from Santora Company advising they will <br /> within thirty days the month to month tenancy on building'located <br /> on a portion of land facing on the alley, extending from Second <br /> to Third SSreets, which has been used by the Shore PatrOl. - On <br /> motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, <br /> communication was filed and Clerk instructed to notify E1 Toro <br /> Marine Base of termination of lease and that Trustee Martin and <br /> Chief of Police will endeavor to locate suitable quarters for the <br /> Shore Patrol. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Fire Chief was accepted and preliminary <br /> plans and sketches of new fire station approved; authorization <br /> given to architec~ to proceed on working drawings and spec- <br /> ifications according to contract and payment of architect's fees <br /> <br /> ordered. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic <br /> beverage application made by Louis R. Weinberg, 80? So. Main St., <br /> <br /> was received and filed. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> the applications of William McGinnis, Jack O. Bullene, Vincent <br /> Brooks Mitchell and Paul Roblee, to drive taxicabs were granted <br /> <br /> and permits ordered issued. <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and ca~ried, <br /> the application of Ray A. Minkler to conduct the business of <br /> dealing in motor vehicles at 1219 So. Main St., was granted. <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> the application of Harry F. Coleman to conduct the business of <br /> dealing in motor vehicles at 211 E. let St., was granted. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from Chamber of Commerce recommending Council <br /> give <br />/study and attention to the proposal and petitions of business <br /> <br /> firms and property owners requesting widening O~ Main Street, <br /> <br /> and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried <br /> <br /> communication was received and filed. <br /> # <br /> <br /> <br />
