On motion.cf Trustee Reed, seconded by <br />Chandler and carried, comm,~lication was filed and Clerk instructs( <br />tc notify Mrs. Ralph that at the present time the City is not <br />in~erested in leasing the property. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Dr. C. Harold Elnecke reference <br />harboring of horses on Kin~ Street and calling attention to the <br />condition of the street. On motion of T~ustee Chandler, seconde~ <br />by Martin and carried, committee was appointed to investigate and <br />report back. Trustee Cheney and City Engineer were appointed to <br />investigate condition of street and Trustees Reed and Chandler <br /> <br />to investigate water and health menace. <br /> # <br />Communication was read from Robert L. Brown, owner, Santa Aha <br />Book Store, requesting explanation as to why he has received but <br />one order for City office supplies over a period of approximately <br />one year. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, Clerk was instructed to furnish Mr. Brown with a copy of <br />Purchasing Agent's reply, together with list of standard office <br />supplies which have been purchased regularly over a period of <br /> <br />several years. <br /># <br /> <br />Communications were read from Antonia Montes complaining that the <br />Poundmaster unjustifiably wounded her dog and from Poundmaster <br />stating hie facts in the case. On motion of Trustee Reed, <br />seconded by Martin and carried, communications were received and <br />filed. <br /> <br /># <br />On m$tion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, <br />the request of John E. Colwell, City Attorney, for leave of absen¢ <br /> <br />for the period March 13 to March 2$th, 1950, was granted. <br /># <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, <br />the request of Santa Ana Community Hospital for parking relief on <br />Wellington Ave., was referred to the City Engineer to prepare <br />Resolution granting the requests. <br /># <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by forty-one residents and property <br />owners in the vicinity of 8th and Flower Streets, protesting use <br />of parking lots north of S,tate Employment Office and lack of <br />public rest rooms in State Office. On motion of Trustee Chandlex <br />seconded by M~rtin and carried, a committee of Trustees Martin <br />and Reed, were appointed, to investigate and report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic <br />beverage applications made by Diana Rowe, 1323 W. tth and Joseph <br />G.
