Valles <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Taxicab Permit <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, minutes of meeting of Executive Board of <br />Joint Outfall Sewer, held at Anaheim, Feb. l, 1945, <br />were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the notification of the State Board of Equal- <br />ization of alcoholic beverage application made by the <br />United Drug Co., dba Sontag Drug Stores, ll$ E. 4th St. <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, application of Fred J. Coffman to drive taxis <br />for the Broadway Cab Co., was granted and Clerk <br />authorized to issue license. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, application of Powell Neon Sign Co. to hang <br />a neon sign for David Jackman, 206 E. 4th St., was <br />granted and sign ordered hung under supervision of <br />Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />Application of Wesley G. Edwards for permission to <br />erect a directional sign at the Northwest corner of <br /> <br />W. 1st and Main Sts. for the C.S.O. was read. <br /> <br />The City Attorney stated that Mr. Edwards has ne <br />connection with the C.S.O. and on motion of Trustee <br />Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, a request for a <br />directional sign for the C.S.O. at the Northwest corner <br />of W. 1st and Main Sts., would be granted provided such <br />request was made by proper officials of the C.S.O. and <br />with the provision that sign would be removed in case <br />West 1st St. is widened. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the request of Mrs. Almeta Cole for permission <br />to conduct a public dance at the Masonic Temple on <br />Saturday, March 17th, sponsored by St. Joseph's <br />Auxilliary, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the request of Micaela M. Valles for permission <br />to conduct a public dance at the K.P. Hall, Sth and <br />Broadway, Friday, Feb. 23rd, sponsored by the Cuauhtemoc <br />Club, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, application of Thomas E. Stuart and E.A.Erb <br />for permission to conduct a Taxicab Co., to be known <br /> <br /> <br />
