Graeber, effective Nay 3rd, 1948, as patrolmen, were approved. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, Minutes of meeting of Executive Board of Joint Outfall Sewer, held at the Treatment Plant Site on April 8th, 1945, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried, communication from Fire Chief advising of resignation of Thomas C. Williams, April 1st and appointment of Francis C. Layton on April 16th; resignation of Richard Weeks on March 6th and appoint. ment of Louis Lerno on April 9th; appointment of Wylie Chaney on March lSth and resignation on March ~4th; appointment of Richard McGarvin on April 10th, was received and filed. Communication from Fire Chief recontmending that Paul N. Reynolds, Fireman, be granted a six months leave of absence, on recommendation of his physlcid, n, was on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and ~arried, received and filed. On motion of Tr~stee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage appli6ations made by Radolt A. Qu~ndt, dba Santee Coffee Shop, 408 E. 4th St., and Jo Van Ronkel, dba Van Ronkel Co., 180~ W. 5th St., were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by. Dixon and carried, request of Dale G. Deckert for a leave of absence from the State for a period of thirty days, beginning May 7th, 1945, was granted. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, the request of Ernest L. Kellogg Post No. 1680 for permission to sell Buddy Poppies on May 25th an.d 26th, was granted.
