City Council met for a special meeting for the <br />purpose of advertising for bids for the improve- <br />ment of a portion of Fourth Street from the west <br />line of Artesia Street to the Southern Pacific <br />Company's railroad tracks 96 feet east of Breeden <br />Street. <br /> <br />Meeting celled to order by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> W. J. Chancy, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees Otto R. Haan. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Improvement of <br /> <br />Fourth Street & <br /> <br />Employment Homer Lindley. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Reso. No. 3396 <br /> <br />Advertise for Bids <br /> <br />Improvement Fourth St. <br /> <br /> APPROVED: <br />~ntaAna. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Council Chsm~er <br /> <br />Ssnta Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />June 7th, 1948. 2:00 P.M. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried <br />the request of H.M. Neighbour, City Engineer, that the <br />City Council advertise for bids on the improvement of <br />.Fourth Street from the west line of Artesia Street to the <br />Southern Pacific Company's railroad tracks; appoint Homer <br />Lindley as construction engineer on the Job and authorize <br />payment of $2400.00 to the State Highway Department from <br />the 1/4 cent gasoline tax fund to cover salary and trans- <br />portation of Mr. Lindley for six months, was approved. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried <br /> the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Authorizing and Directing the City <br /> Clerk to Advertise for Bids for the Improvement <br /> of Fourth Street in the City of Santa Aha, Cali- <br /> fornia, and Fixing the Prevallio~ Wage Rate" <br /> <br /> was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution <br /> No. 3696 and passed by t~e following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, W. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br /> Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Noes, <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees Otto R. Haan. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, <br />the City Council e, djourned. <br /> <br />Meeting called to ~rder by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> Otto R.
