City Council met for a special meeting for the purpose of advertising for bids for the improve- ment of a portion of Fourth Street from the west line of Artesia Street to the Southern Pacific Company's railroad tracks 96 feet east of Breeden Street. Meeting celled to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, W. J. Chancy, Asa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees Otto R. Haan. In Re Improvement of Fourth Street & Employment Homer Lindley. In Re Reso. No. 3396 Advertise for Bids Improvement Fourth St. APPROVED: ~ntaAna. City Council met in regular session. Council Chsm~er Ssnta Ana City Hall. June 7th, 1948. 2:00 P.M. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried the request of H.M. Neighbour, City Engineer, that the City Council advertise for bids on the improvement of .Fourth Street from the west line of Artesia Street to the Southern Pacific Company's railroad tracks; appoint Homer Lindley as construction engineer on the Job and authorize payment of $2400.00 to the State Highway Department from the 1/4 cent gasoline tax fund to cover salary and trans- portation of Mr. Lindley for six months, was approved. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Authorizing and Directing the City Clerk to Advertise for Bids for the Improvement of Fourth Street in the City of Santa Aha, Cali- fornia, and Fixing the Prevallio~ Wage Rate" was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3696 and passed by t~e following vote: Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, W. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Trustees None. Noes, Absent, Trustees Otto R. Haan. On motion of Trustee Deckert, the City Council e, djourned. Meeting called to ~rder by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees None The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each imember of the City Council having received cobbies of the Minutes of June 4th and June 7th, 1948, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried. seconded Cheney and carried, City Clerk.
