Communication from Walter R. Robb, Pres. Santa Ana Boar8 of Realtors submitting names of Everett ~Vhite, Geo. Faires and Herb Hearle, to serve as members of the City Planning Commission was read, and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, communication from Chief of Fire Department advising of various resignations and appointments of firemen, was received ~ud filed. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney an~ carried, communication from Acting Fire Chief approving the request of Wm. A. Kintz for a thirty day leave of abseuce, beginning August Sth, 1945, account illness, was received.and filed. On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion of T~Ustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the appointments of Chas. W. Ryel, W. D. Lutz, Arthur Wilson and Thomas Mc~ullen, as patrolmen, were approved pro- viding the Department does not exceed the number of employees allotted. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the application of Gaetha Sisson to drive taxi for the Broadway Cab was ~ranted and Clerk authorized to issue license. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, applications of Powell Neon Sign Co. to hang a neon sign for Wright and Lawrence, 414 W. 4th St., and for Mallott's Style Shop, 1814 No. Main St., were granted and signs ordered hung under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney snd carried, bond of Doyle McMillan, as House Mover, written by the Aetna Casualty & Surety Co., and bond of Star House Movers, Inc. written by the Hartford Accident and Indemuity Co., in the amount of ~l,O00.O0, respectively, were approved.
