On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and car- ried, a Resolution granting application of the Pacific Electric Railway Company for franchise for railroad double tracks across §th Street and on Ath Street from the westerly line of Artesia Street to a point easterly of French Street, and for two tracks across ~nd Street, was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 8408 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees W. Eugene Dixon, W. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Trustees None. Trustees Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Oheney and car- tied, the following Ordinance entitled: #An Ordinance granting to the Pacific Electric Railway Oompany, its successors and assigns, the right to construct, maintain and operate double track standard gauge railroad tracks scross Fifth Street and on Fourth Street, and two tracks across Second Street, and repealing Ordinance Nos. and 898." was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading.
