City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman.- Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hof_.~man. Absent: Trustees Otto R. Haan The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of August 6th, 1945 and August 7th, 1945, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and carried. In Re Communication A.T.&.g.F. Ry. Co. In Re Revoke Taxicab Permit E.A.Erb and Thomas E. Stuart In Re Communication Metropolitan Water Dist. In Re Communication H.~LNeighbour, Water Supt. Council Chambers Santa Aha City Hall August 20th, 1945. 7:30 P.~I. Communication from Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Ry. Co. stating their desire to move the location of their engin~ service facilities now locsted opposite their depot, to the triangular shaped parcel of land at the northeast corner of Santa Fe and Chestnut Sts., was read. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was referred to the Planning Commission for their approval. Mr. E.A.Erb appeared before the Council requesting that taxicab permit granted in his name and Thomas E. Stuart, under the name and style of "Independent Cab Co." under date of Feb. 15, 1945, be revoked. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, taxicab permit in the names of E.A.Erb and Thomas E. Stuart, was revoked on the grounds that terms as set out in the ap[~lication were not complied with within the specified thirty days. Communication from Exec. Secy of the Metropolitan Water District, together with Resolution No. 3554, levying a tax.upon taxable property within said District, inclu5ir in taxable propertv lv~m~ with/the City of Santa Aha, at a rate of 50~ on each i~100.O0 of assessed valuation, was read and on.motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, communication was received snd filed. Communication from Water Superintendent recommending that 3000 lineal feet of 4 inch; 3000 lineal feet of 6 inch; 2500 lineal feet of 8 inch and 2500 lineal feet of 12 inch cement lined, cast iron, bell and spigot pipe, class 150, be purchased was read. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, Purchasing Agent was authorized to advertise for bids covering the purchase of pipe as recommended by the Water SUperintendent.
