The Nayor <br />appointed Trustees Dixon and Haan on this committeee <br /> <br />Communication from Chief of Police requesting appropriat <br />of funds and leave of absence in order to attend <br />International Chiefs of Police convention at Niami, <br />Florida from approximately Dec. 8th to Dec. 25th, 1945, <br />was read and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by <br />Cheney and carried, the request was denied. <br /> <br />ion <br /> <br />At this time Trustee Dixon requested permission to be <br />excused from the Meeting and the Chairman of the Boar~ <br />granted the request. <br /> <br />Comm~ication from Faulkner, Oakes & Faulkner request- <br />ing consideration in the matter of auditing records and <br />financial transactions of the City of Santa Ana, was <br />read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by <br />Cheney and carried, conmaunication was received and filed <br /> <br />Communication from Pres. American Assoc. of University <br />Women extending invitation to the Council to attend <br />meeting to be held Nov. 8th at the Orange Women's Club, <br />was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by <br />Cheney and carried, communication was received and <br />filed and Clerk to notify Pres. A.A.U.W. that the <br />Council cannot attend due to previous engagements. <br /> <br />Communication from District Director, Office of Price <br />Administration expressing thanks for use of premises <br />located at ll4~ No. Broadway, was read and on motion of <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Pres. Union Appraisal Co. requesting <br />an opportunity to discuss matter of appraising City <br />properties was read and on motion of Trustee Cheney, <br />seconded by Deckert and carried, communication was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Chief of Police requesting appointme~ <br />of Mabel M. Price, as Clerk, in the Police Dept., was <br />read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan <br />and carried, communication was received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
