Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> Otto R. Haan, Asa Hoff~au. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees W.J.Cheney <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each <br />member of the City Council having received copies of the <br />Minutes of January 1$th, 1948, further reading of the <br />Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of <br />Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried. <br /> <br />In Rs <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />U.S.O. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Sec. Hoover P.T.A. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resignations; <br /> <br />Appointments, <br /> <br />Library Board <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Naval Aid Auxiliary <br /> <br />R~quest of United Service Organizations, Ino for <br />establishment of a parking space on southeast corner <br />4th at Main Sts., was read and on motion of Trustee <br />Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, Clerk was <br />instructed to advise them that x~equest is denied due <br />to traffic congestion at this corner. <br /> <br />Request of Mrs. Harold Ely, Sec. Hoover, P.T.A. to have <br /> stop <br />boulevard/signs placed at Santa Clara and Bush, also at <br /> <br />Santa Clara and Santiago was read and on motion of <br />Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, matter was <br />referred to committee composed of Trustees Cheney and <br />Haan and Engineer to investigate and report back at <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried <br />the resignations of John Ball and Charles Swarmer from <br />the Library Board were accepted with regrets and <br />William H. Spurgeon and J.B.Tucker were appointed to <br />fill the unexpired terms. <br /> <br />Request of Irving W. Parker, ~our Representative, Naval <br /> <br />Aid Auxiliary, to exhibit rare Jap field pieces and <br /> <br />replica of Nazi flying robot bomb, at Ath and Bush Sts., <br />March ~Oth through April let was read and on motion of <br /> <br /> <br />
