Brinkerhoff, <br />Carroll J. Cohrt, H.R.Brinkerhoff, 211-15 E. 3rd St., <br />and Allen C. DeTremaudan & Robert L. BenJestorf, dba <br /> <br />Ace,s Oasis, 1061 E. 4th St., <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, <br /> <br />were received and filed. <br /> <br />seconded by Haan and <br /> <br />carried, applications of Leonard H. Cart, Gertrude <br />Goodwin, Robert S. Crisp, and Bernard Young to drive <br />taxis f~r the Broadway Cab Co., and applications of <br />James A. White, Egau G. Anderson, Eugene V. Wiley and <br />Alexander A. Hauff to drive taxis for Black and Green <br />Cab Co. and application of Leland Joel Reid to drive bus <br />for the Santa Ana Bus Co. were granted and Clerk author- <br />ized to issue licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, check in the amount of $8,367.7? from the <br />Southern California Telephone Co., covering franchise <br />tax for period October 13, 1944 to October 12, 1945, was <br />received and check referred to Auditor for checking and <br />deposited to account of the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication from Maggie L. Jones and Gus Jone <br />stating their iutention to renew option in lease dated <br />Jan. 18th, 1943 for a period of two years on approximatel <br />thirty-five acres near the treatment plant, waa received <br />and filed and option accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the monthly reports of Building Inspector, <br />City Judge and Police Department, for October, 19~5, <br />were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the monthly demands as audited by the Finance <br />Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to draw <br />warrants aovering demands numbering 861 to ll21 inclusive <br /> <br /> <br />
