On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, notifications of the State Board of Equalizatior~ of alcoholic beverage applications made by Willard C. Doster, 900 W. 4th St.,; H.R.& Floss H. Brinkerhoff, Carroll J. Cohrt, H.R.Brinkerhoff, 211-15 E. 3rd St., and Allen C. DeTremaudan & Robert L. BenJestorf, dba Ace,s Oasis, 1061 E. 4th St., On motion of Trustee Deckert, were received and filed. seconded by Haan and carried, applications of Leonard H. Cart, Gertrude Goodwin, Robert S. Crisp, and Bernard Young to drive taxis f~r the Broadway Cab Co., and applications of James A. White, Egau G. Anderson, Eugene V. Wiley and Alexander A. Hauff to drive taxis for Black and Green Cab Co. and application of Leland Joel Reid to drive bus for the Santa Ana Bus Co. were granted and Clerk author- ized to issue licenses. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, check in the amount of $8,367.7? from the Southern California Telephone Co., covering franchise tax for period October 13, 1944 to October 12, 1945, was received and check referred to Auditor for checking and deposited to account of the City. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication from Maggie L. Jones and Gus Jone stating their iutention to renew option in lease dated Jan. 18th, 1943 for a period of two years on approximatel thirty-five acres near the treatment plant, waa received and filed and option accepted. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and carried, the monthly reports of Building Inspector, City Judge and Police Department, for October, 19~5, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the monthly demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to draw warrants aovering demands numbering 861 to ll21 inclusive
