No. 3420 <br /> <br />Fixing time for hearing <br />objections to work or <br />improvement - W. side <br />Westwood Ave. <br /> <br />iii <br /> <br /> Report from City Engineer recommending that street <br /> light be inste~led at intersection of Edinger and Broad- <br /> way and at the intersection of Edinger with Sycamore <br /> and Edinger with Birch St; also that street light be <br /> installed at the intersection of the two alleys between <br /> Walnut and Pine west of Naple, and that loading zone on <br /> E. 8th St. near the Y.W.C.A. will be repainted, was rea6 <br /> On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and <br /> carried, the recommendations of the Engineer were <br /> approved. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> On recontmendation of the committee and on motion of <br /> Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, contract <br /> was awarded to National Tank and Nfg. Co. covering the <br /> purchase of a gasoline storage tank to be placed in <br /> the City Yard, in the amount of $?15.00; the City to <br /> make the installation of such tank. <br /> <br />Objections were heard from Carl Lykke and F.E.Kingsbury, <br />owners and operators of amusement machines reference to <br />increase in license tax on such machines; also, James <br />Tucker and Delbert Larsh, representing theatre and <br />professional men,stated their objection to the increase <br />in license tax. <br /> <br />The Chairman advised that various groups would be <br />called in to discuss the matter before final adoption of <br />the Ordinance and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded <br />by Deckert and carried, action was delayed until <br />November 19th, 1948. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br /> <br />carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> "Resolution Accepting Deed Granting Easement for <br /> Road Purposes" <br /> <br />covering the extension of Garnsey St. between 1Sth and <br />17th St., from James B. Tucker and Sal~na F. Tucker, <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3~19 <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, 0~to R. Haan, <br /> W.J.Cheney, Asa Ho£fman <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None <br /> <br />Absent,Trustees W. Eugene Dixon <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution fixing time for hearing objections <br /> to work or improvement under Resolution of <br /> intention No. 3418 of t his Council" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3420 <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Dale G.
