227 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request Thatcher & <br /> <br />![ollingsworth for 30 <br /> <br />days e~tension removal <br />~ emi~orary building <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bids - painting <br /> <br />Bo4ors I,~emorlal ~Juseum <br /> <br />In <br /> <br />Bids - paintir~g <br /> <br />City tIall <br /> <br />In I~o <br /> <br />on ??~in Ztr~'et. <br /> <br />In <br /> <br />Survey for Trafi'ic <br /> <br />Si,'~nals at $ In~,~rs~cti <br /> <br />In Re <br />At~,i met Ho~crs. <br /> <br /> On reco~mnendation of the City Engineer and on motion of <br /> Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, cormn- <br /> unication was held over until next meeting of the Counci <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the request of Thatcher & Hollingsworth for 30 <br />days extension of contract for removal of temporary <br />building located on the south side of W. l?th St., east <br />of Patton St., was granted for a period of thirty days <br />from August 1st, 1946, providing the bond liability <br />is extended. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Chairman of the Boa~d and on <br />motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the City Engineer and Auditor were instructed <br />to prepare specifications and advertise for bids for the <br />waterproofing and Dainting of the Bowers Memorial <br />Museum; bids to be opened August Sth, 1946. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Chairman of the Board and on <br />motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the City Engineer and Auditor were instructed <br />to prepare specifications and advertise for bids for the <br />waterproofing and painting of the City Hall; bids to be <br />opened August 8th, 1946. <br /> <br />Petitions were read signed by 39 merchants on or near <br />Na~n Street requesting the abolishment of parking restric <br />tions in eCfect from 4 to 6 P.~. on Main Street between <br />1st and 6th Streets. On motion of Trustee Deckert, sec- <br />onded by by Dixon and carried, the minute order of the <br /> <br />City Council at its meeting held July 1st, 1946, was re- <br /> ordered to <br />scinded; and traffic officers/continue to be stationed <br /> <br />on Main Street at 2nd, ~rd and 8th Streets and no left <br />turns be permitted at said intersections. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and car- <br />ried, the City Clerk and Engineer were authorized to <br />write to the Dept. of Public Highways req~esting a surve <br /> <br />to be conducted for installation of traffic signals on <br />payment <br />Main Street at Third, Fifth and Bishop Streets and/expen <br /> <br />of said survey authorized. <br /> <br />No written or oral protests were received and on motion <br />of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" <br /> <br />and that Sheet No. 19 of the districting map o~ the City <br />of Santa Ana be amended to reclassify as R-3, all proper- <br />ty now classified as R-1 and R-2, described as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
