On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and car- ried, the proposal of Cox Bros. Construction Co. to con- struct sidewalks on North Flower Street between 15th and 17th Streets for the total amount of I~2089,80, was accep- ted on recommendation of the City Engineer. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and car- ried, the applications of Victor N. Luney, Floyd H. White and Alfred D. Shafer to drive taxicabs, were granted and Clerk authorized to issue licenses. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and car- ried, cormaunication from Asst. Chie~ of the Fire Dept., relative to Paul M. Reynolds resuming position as fire- man and resignation of Glenn Harris, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Dixon, rled, the City Council adjourned. seconded by Cheney and car- City Clerk. City Council met in regular session. Haan The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of July 15th and July 22nd, 1946, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried.
