Elliott, ~12 <br /> <br />E. 4th St., were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, applications of Arthur D. Lewis, John <br />Nightingale, Muriel E. Nichols and Kenneth Paul Fontaine <br />to drive taxicabs were granted and Clerk authorized to <br />issue licenses; on recommendation of the Chief of Police <br />application of William J. Replogle to drive taxicabs <br />was denied and Clerk authorized to refund license fee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and <br /> <br />carried, communication from David R. ~Ic~lillan, Probation <br /> to ~urvey and <br />0fffcer, relative/study or delinquency and youth services <br /> <br />in Orange County, W.mS referred to Police Commissioner to <br />reoo~t back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Co~y of commumicatton from Civil Service Board addressed <br />to Chief of t~tre Department requesting termination of <br />employment of all emergency appointees effective as of <br />Sept. l, ~o46, and, copy of communication addressed to <br />Chief of Police Department requestin~ terminatfon of <br />emplo?r~ent of all emergency appointees effective as of <br />Sept. l, 1946, with the exception of Robert Elliott, now <br />employed on temporary basis pending recruitment exam- <br />ination were read and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded <br />by Cheney and carried, communications were received, <br />adopted and placed on file. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />~rried, bond of Paul C. Wetzel, doinE business as A-1 <br />~Touse ~ov~r, deleting the last sentence ~n p~ra~raoh ~ <br />of bond, was anproved. <br /> <br /> <br />
