In Re Monthly Reports In Re Monthly Warrants ?orsberg, Hozy L. Patterson, Robert Wendell Williams and Robert It. Miers were granted and Clerk authorized to issue licenses. The application of Joseph B. Moralice and Richard C. Winchell to operate the Taxicab Company, known as the "Black and Green Cab Company", at 316 Bush St., formerly owned and operated by E.A.Erb and Thelma Erb, was read, On motion of Trustee Deckert, carried, the application was seconded by Cheney and granted provided Joseph B. Moralice and Richard C. Winchell file the insurance policies as required by the Taxicab Ordinance with the Clerk and file a supplemental petition furnishing required information as to the fifth taxicab to be operated. The City Attorney suggested that hearing on closing up and abandonment of W. 15th St. between Bristol and English Streets be continued until next regular meeting. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried, request of Asa tIoffman for permission to leave the State for a period of four weeks, beginning September 15th, 1946, was granted. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute the lease between the City of' Santa Ana and the Pacific ~lectric Railway Co. covering a private road crossing over Pacific Electric Railway Company's Newport 2each Line right-of-way at Engineer's Station 19055 85.38 County of Orange, at a rental of $5.00 per year, for the period September 1, 1946 to August 31, 1947. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, the report of the Building Inspector for mont2 of August, 1946 and report of Judge for Au&~st, 1946, were reeeived and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the monthly demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering 552 to 800 inclusive.
