Patterson, Robert Wendell Williams <br />and Robert It. Miers were granted and Clerk authorized <br />to issue licenses. <br /> <br />The application of Joseph B. Moralice and Richard C. <br />Winchell to operate the Taxicab Company, known as the <br />"Black and Green Cab Company", at 316 Bush St., <br />formerly owned and operated by E.A.Erb and Thelma Erb, <br /> <br />was read, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, <br />carried, the application was <br /> <br />seconded by Cheney and <br />granted provided Joseph B. <br /> <br />Moralice and Richard C. Winchell file the insurance <br />policies as required by the Taxicab Ordinance with the <br />Clerk and file a supplemental petition furnishing <br />required information as to the fifth taxicab to be <br />operated. <br /> <br />The City Attorney suggested that hearing on closing up <br />and abandonment of W. 15th St. between Bristol and <br />English Streets be continued until next regular <br />meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, request of Asa tIoffman for permission to <br />leave the State for a period of four weeks, beginning <br />September 15th, 1946, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute <br />the lease between the City of' Santa Ana and the Pacific <br />~lectric Railway Co. covering a private road crossing <br />over Pacific Electric Railway Company's Newport 2each <br />Line right-of-way at Engineer's Station 19055 85.38 <br />County of Orange, at a rental of $5.00 per year, for <br />the period September 1, 1946 to August 31, 1947. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the report of the Building Inspector for mont2 <br />of August, 1946 and report of Judge for Au&~st, 1946, <br />were reeeived and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the monthly demands as audited by the Finance <br />Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to draw <br />warrants covering demands numbering 552 to 800 <br />inclusive. <br /> <br /> <br />
