302 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request of Santa Ana <br /> <br />Council of Churches <br /> <br />for loading zone <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Dance application <br /> <br />20-30 Club <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />Postmaster <br /> <br />Parking zone changes <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Taxicab <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Monthly <br /> <br />Reports <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Monthly <br /> <br />WarramtB <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Protest against <br />re-routing of <br />buses <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, request from Santa Ana Council of Churches for <br />a loading zone on North Broadway in front of the Spurgeon <br />Memorial Educational Building was referred to the Street <br />Conmmtssioner and Street Superintendent to report back at <br />the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried request of 20-30 Club for permission to conduct <br />weekly dances at the Community Center Building, W. 8th <br />St., was gTanted and ChatEnan of Board to determ~tne <br />amount of rental. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a co~nunication from F~ank Harwood, <br />Postmaster relative to traffic conditions on Bush Street <br />between 6th and 7th Street objecting to the plan as <br />recommended by the committee and suggesting that <br />diagonal parking be indicated on the east side of Bush <br />Street and that no parking be permitted on the west <br />side of the street during business hours of week days. <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, action was deferred on the matter until meeting <br />of January 6th, 1946. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, applications of Percy J. Cuff and Michael J. <br />Russell to drive taxicabs were granted and Clerk <br />authorized to issue licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, reportsof the Building Inspector and of the <br />Judge, for month of November, 1946, were received and <br />filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the monthly demands as audited by the Finance <br />Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to draw <br />warrants covering demands numbering 1408 to 1677 inclusive. <br /> <br />A cormnunication was read from B.T.Woodward and H.B. <br />Woodward protesting against re-routing of buses in the <br />North Broadway Park District and eliminating the buses <br />traveling upon Riverside Drive and on motion of Trustee <br />Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried, communication was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />The Mayor declared a five minute recess. <br /> <br />The Taxicab and Bus Con~nission approved the route <br /> <br /> <br />
