Young and Robert 0. <br />Engleman were granted and Clerk authorized to issue <br />licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, application of Seventh-Day Adventist Church to <br />solicit funds, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the request of the Coteriennes Club to conduct <br />a public dance at the Ebell Club on Friday, March 99th, <br />1946, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the request of Clarence D. Grauel to conduct <br />public dances at the V.F.~j. Hall, Sth aud Broadway, <br />beginning Saturday, March 9th, 1946, was granted. <br /> <br />Request of Geo. Rice for permission to remove the curb <br />at 612 West 1st St., and install two 38 ft. driveways <br /> <br />or entrances to his place of business was read and on <br />and e~rried, <br />motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan,/matter was <br /> <br />referred to Street Superintendent and Street Com~issione <br />with Dower to act. <br /> <br />Request of Martha Koofolis that an overhead light be <br />installed at the intersection of 6th and Hawley Streets <br />was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by <br />Cheney and carried, matter was referred to the Street <br />Superintendent an8 Street Commissioner to report back <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Communication from Blodget and Tobias requesting that <br />their clients Fred L. aud William W. Walker be granted <br />permission to cut the curb and install driveway outwardl <br />from the easterly 7~ ft. section of their building now <br />being constructed at ~nd and Lacy Streets was read and <br />on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, matter was referred to Street Superintendent <br />and Street Commissioner with power to act. <br /> <br />Request of Fred Smith that street lights be installed <br />in the~lOO block of South Lowell Street was read and on <br />motioo of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried <br /> <br /> <br />
