Engleman were granted and Clerk authorized to issue licenses. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, application of Seventh-Day Adventist Church to solicit funds, was granted. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the request of the Coteriennes Club to conduct a public dance at the Ebell Club on Friday, March 99th, 1946, was granted. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the request of Clarence D. Grauel to conduct public dances at the V.F.~j. Hall, Sth aud Broadway, beginning Saturday, March 9th, 1946, was granted. Request of Geo. Rice for permission to remove the curb at 612 West 1st St., and install two 38 ft. driveways or entrances to his place of business was read and on and e~rried, motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan,/matter was referred to Street Superintendent and Street Com~issione with Dower to act. Request of Martha Koofolis that an overhead light be installed at the intersection of 6th and Hawley Streets was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, matter was referred to the Street Superintendent an8 Street Commissioner to report back at the next meeting. Communication from Blodget and Tobias requesting that their clients Fred L. aud William W. Walker be granted permission to cut the curb and install driveway outwardl from the easterly 7~ ft. section of their building now being constructed at ~nd and Lacy Streets was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, matter was referred to Street Superintendent and Street Commissioner with power to act.
