City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Absent: Trustees Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall April 1st, 1946. 7:30 P.M. Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Asa Hoffman Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of March 18th, 1946, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried. In Re Minutes of Joint 0utfall Sewer - Award of Contract Pumping Plant & Sludge Digestion Tank In Re Report Diehl & Co. In Re Beverage Applications In Re Resignation Asst. City Attorney In Re Resol. No. 3444 Appointment City Attorney and Bond On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Minutes of the Executive Board of the Joint 0utfall Sewer meeting held at Anaheim, March 7th and 21st, were approved, received and filed. On reconnnendation of the Auditor and Joint 0utfall Sewe Engineer and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the bid of G.E.Kerns, under schedule "C~ including both pumping plant and sludge digestion tank, in the amount of $108,360.00 was accepted and Mayor and Clerk authorized to enter into a contract with G.E.Kerns and checks of unsuccessful bidders ordered returned. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, the report of Diehl & Company advising that an examination of the books and accounts of the City of Santa Ana for the quarter ending Dec. 31st, 1945 has been completed, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, notifications of the State Board of Equal- ization of alcoholic beverage applications made by Van Ronkel Co. 1502 W. 5th to be transferred from Jo Van Ronkel, and Archie E. & John K. Griswold, ll2 N.Main St. th be transferred from Bernice A. LeGrand, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the resignation of W.0.Gordon, as Assistant City Attorney, effective April 1st, 1946, was accepted. ,, On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, Appointing George E. Bradley as City Attorney to Fill the Unexpired Term of 0.A.Jacobs" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3444
