Tucker requesting that check in the amount <br />of $800.00 be returned, were read. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried <br />Communications were received and filed and Clerk author- <br />ized to ~eturn check to Mr. Tucker. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, applications of Albert F. Chapman, Phillip S. <br />Robinson, Billie F. Wing, Don Wallick and Norman E. <br />Geiger to drive taxicabs, were granted and Clerk author- <br />ized to issue licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, Map of Tract No. 1144 submitted by Dale S.Umphr <br />covering improvements on extension of 10th St. to includ. <br />curbs, sidewalks, sewers, water, grade and pave street <br />with minimtun of four inch asphaltic pavement; also to <br />put sidewalks on the north side of 9th St. on the same <br />tract was approved and cashier's check in the amount <br />of $1,000.00 accepted and Attorney instructed to prepare <br /> <br />Resolution Acce~g Qui$claim Deed covering strip of <br />land six feet wide on 10th Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, report of the Police Department for the month <br />of March, 1946, was received and filed. <br /> <br />Offer of C.H.Reynolds to purchase White fire hose truck <br />for $280.00 was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, <br />seconded by Dixon and carried, offer in the amount of <br />$280.00 was accepted and Auditor authorized to make <br />the transfer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, application of Herbert L. Gortner and Ralph E. <br />Hav~elshorst to conduct public dances at the DeMolay Hall <br />beginning May 1st, 1946, on Wednesday, Friday and <br />Saturday nights was referred to the Police and Fire <br />Departments to r epo~t back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Request of Virgil H. Reed and Clare Bales for a loading <br />zone on the east side of Sycamore St. running north from <br /> <br />Third St., was read. Chairman of the Board appointed <br />a committee composed of Trustees Haan and Dixon to <br />investigate and report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
